Therapist & Practice Owner
I earned both my undergraduate and master’s degrees from Roosevelt University in Chicago, where my counseling journey began. I started working one-on-one with college students in career development, then went on to complete my practicum at an intensive outpatient (IOP) facility, gaining experience supporting individuals navigating addiction. I later worked in vocational rehabilitation counseling, which deepened my understanding of how people find purpose and navigate major life changes. Over time, I transitioned into private practice, where I found my passion in trauma work and supporting first responders.
Outside the therapy room—I’m married to a firefighter, raising a bold and spirited toddler, and we’ve got two wild (but sweet) dogs who keep us on our toes. I love being outdoors, getting lost in a good book or podcast, and soaking up time with my family whenever I can.
My Approach for Therapy
First Responders & Families
When you're in this line of work, you're used to people claiming they "get it"—but unless they've stood in your shoes, they usually don't. This isn’t one of those places. I bring more than just credentials as a Certified First Responder Counselor (CFRC). I’ve lived beside this world as the wife of a firefighter for over ten years, and I’ve taken the time to understand it from the inside out—through ride-alongs and citizen academies. Here, the hard calls, the emotional fallout, and the personal cost of the job are all welcome. You won’t be asked to hold back or clean things up—whether it’s the weight you carry or the gallows humor that helps you get through the shift. You’ve been trained to handle chaos, to stay composed under pressure, to put others first. But that doesn’t mean you should have to carry it all on your own.
I also work closely with the families of first responders, who carry their own unique weights—often quietly and without recognition. Whether it’s navigating the emotional toll of the job, the unpredictability of the schedule, or the strain it can place on relationships, families deserve support too. You’re not in this alone, either.
Non-First Responders
Along with my work with first responders, I also work with individuals who may appear to have everything under control, yet feel overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected beneath the surface. I have a particular passion for supporting men who might be unsure about therapy—those who feel pressure to tough it out or question whether it's really for them. When you're the one others count on, admitting that something feels off can be incredibly difficult. Whether you're facing burnout, anxiety, unresolved trauma, or major life changes, therapy offers a space to pause, reflect, and reconnect with yourself.
My Approach
Therapy with me is collaborative, solution-focused, and tailored to what works best for you. I draw from various approaches to offer practical tools you can use long after therapy. I also offer EMDR therapy, an evidence-based method that helps process and heal the lingering effects of painful or distressing experiences. I understand how overwhelming life can be, especially when you're the one others rely on. In our work together, you'll have a space to take off the pressure, be yourself, and feel genuinely supported.
