Caroline Schmaedeke

Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)

I work with adults and first responders to navigate stress, trauma, life transitions, emotional challenges, and OCD, helping you feel more grounded, confident, and capable of managing daily life. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure where to turn, therapy provides a safe space to process, explore, and grow.

What I Help With

I work with adults experiencing:

  • Stress and burnout that follows you home

  • Anxiety, intrusive thoughts, or compulsions (OCD)

  • Emotional effects of trauma or critical incidents

  • Difficulty managing relationships or communicating effectively

  • Life transitions and personal growth challenges

Together, we focus on practical tools and strategies to build emotional balance, resilience, and lasting change.

Training & Credentials

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Criminal Law — Marquette University

  • Master’s Degree in Forensic Psychology — The Chicago School of Professional Psychology

  • Experience across inpatient, private practice, and law enforcement settings

A Little About Me

Outside of work, I live with my partner, a firefighter and paramedic. We love unwinding with an intense TV show or a comical movie. I enjoy reality TV, getting creative with home décor, playing golf with my family in the summer, diving into my favorite podcasts, and spending time with my 2-year-old niece who brings so much joy to my life. These hobbies and relationships help me maintain a work-life balance so I can show up fully for my clients.

Take the Next Step

If you’re ready to take the next step toward clarity, resilience, and emotional well-being, I would be honored to support you.
